Our Trip from new Delhi to McLeodganj with GOLD SEAT APP.

Basically, Gold seat is pre-loaded with a wide collection of movies & high speed wi-fi is installed inside the vehicle. All we had to do was to connect to Gold Seat wifi as we boarded the bus and then download high speed movie to have an amazing movie experience throughout our journey.

GoldSeat has a tie up with Laxmi Travels , Luxury Volvo Buses . We boarded the bus around 8.00 PM from New Delhi to begin our 10hour Long journey.

The seating of bus was comfortable. It stopped twice for refreshments and for people to freshen up a bit. I kept watching movies for few hours without any interruption before I dozed off.

As we reached Dharamsala, we took a taxi to reach our hotel Fontana which was 30 mins from we were dropped off. Fontana hotel is near this beautiful & old temple called Bhagsu Nag Temple.

Bhagsu Nag Temple is located in the serene town of Dharamsala. It is believed to be an ancient Temple , where lord Shiva prevailed himself. Hence , it is one of the most sacred place for Hindus.

 

The weather in Dharamsala was pleasant 25°c to 30°c during the day. Which was such a great change and a pleasant one as the temperatures in Delhi is soaring high to 48°c.

The hotel we stayed in was very clean , comfortable and had a well spoken staff . We usually had our breakfast in the hotel itself and the other meals we used to have outside while sightseeing the city.
We were in Dharamsala (bhagsu Nag Area) for 2 Nights and 3 Days .

We first went to see Bhagsu Nag waterfall which is located about 11 km froms Dharamsala n the walking distance from our hotel to bhagsu nag was just 5 minutes & was easily approached by roads .

Tourists take a quick dip in the chilly water of this fall. Then there is a local speciality Shiva Cafe which was quite far and on height n known for its view . We had local Maggie, mushroom pasta over there which was average in taste , After that , we went to the very famous German Bakery known for its bhagsu Cake.

We also went to check out the local Market which was a nice experience and most tourists visit there to buy their local hand made stuff.

Then , it was our time to , go see ‘The Dalai Lama’s Temple ‘ which is a very common tourist spot . It was just walking distance from McLeodganj bus stand . It is considered to be the residence of holy Dalai Lama.
Usually open from sunrise to sunset, the temple offers spiritual teachings of Buddhism.

After that , we visited the Moonpeak restaurant, we ordered a Veg himachali thali which was bit average in taste but it looked tempting . Then we tried Tibet kitchen where we ordered veg thupka, spinach n cheese momos etc . Food over there is delicious.

Bhagsu Cake

During our stay we also went to Over hiped cafe known as Jimmy Italian kitchen, we had spinach ravioli is good but baked potato and the worst chocolate shake that I ever had also given my feedback to the owners regarding there staff what they are severing to the customers.

Next day we visited nearby temples Kangra Devi n Chamunda Devi ji both in dharamsala & we also went to see the famous stadium, which is huge & spectacular.

 

We also went to Dharmkot which is 3km from Bhagsu Nag. Dharmkot is mostly filled with hippies & foreigners. Over there , we went to this amazing restaurant Trek & Dine food was delicious there .

And that marked an end to our trip to Dharamsala, we boarded the Volvo by Laxmi Travel using our super entertaining Gold Seat App & returned to Delhi.

  1. I have read about the gold seat app. Wow it is amazing like during travelling they are providing so many facilities to there customers. Like full wifi …and sometimes there are so many net problem while travelling but in this we can see the movie by just connecting with gold seat wifi. The seats are also very comfortable.

  5. Treavel here is very comfortable right from pikup to the destination. They have a great wifi facility in the bus .. with high speed too. The seats are very comfortable. And food to tourist places all are taken care upto the mark. Great hospitality by their staff👍🏻

  8. I have listened about the Golden Seat for the first time . It must be a divine experience for the travellers . Travelling with so many facilities and network issues must be heaven on earth .I have been to Dharamshala twice but now , I would travel as per the blog of Mr.Mohit Behl
